Guest Speaker: Arthur Purves

Arthur Purves as president of the Fairfax County Taxpayers Alliance will lead a discussion of the upcoming Fairfax County Board of Supervisors budget.  He promises we will hear about how the BOS raising taxes will make NoVA more affordable.  In addition, he has officially entered the race for the Republican nomination for the US House of Representatives in Congressional District 11 against incumbent Democrat James Walkinshaw, and will discuss his plans for taking Mr Walkinshaw to task.

Arthur grew up in Washington, D.C., and has a BA, MS, and MBA from the University of Pennsylvania. He retired after 40 years as a computer programmer. He and his late wife, Carol, moved to Vienna in 1976. They have two children, who attended Fairfax County Public Schools grades K-12, and eight grandchildren. For 29 years, he has been president of the Fairfax County Taxpayers Alliance and testifies regularly at Board of Supervisors and school board budget hearings. He’s been a Republican candidate multiple times since 1995, the most recent being for state senate against Janet Howell in 2019 and for county chairman against Jeff McKay in 2023. He teaches a weekly ESL class at the Tysons-Pimmit Regional Library.

Fee: $20 Cash or CC per person at the door (fee owed even if you don't eat breakfast). Tax and tip included.

Right After the Breakfast: Neighborhood Ambassador GOTV Launch!

Help us fight the controversial April 21 gerrymander referendum by getting out the vote for a NO vote.  We’re looking for Neighborhood Ambassadors to use our simple Pulsar phone app to knock on targeted doors in your own neighborhood and ask local Republicans to commit to voting NO by April 21. It’s easy, and you’ll even get to meet some like-minded conservative neighbors!

Can’t join the full breakfast? No problem — feel free to arrive at 10:30 AM just for the GOTV kickoff.  (And mark your calendar: Fairfax GOP will run a county-wide “Last Chance” Neighborhood Ambassador effort starting Saturday, April 11 from early voting sites through Election Day.)

Looking forward to seeing you Saturday - Let's stand up for fair maps and strong Republican leadership!
